"Why won’t you repair my existing computer system?"
Experience has shown that patching up problems is only cost effective in the short term. We know how to build the most reliable systems, and our monitoring software is tailored to work with our installed networks. Prevention is better than cure, and like you we don’t like emergency situations where computers suddenly fail. In the medium to long term our methods will save you money and stress!
"But my system is only three months old and I can never get hold of my techie guy"
OK, your system is up to modern standards, so we can come and have a look with no call out charge if you are within our current service area. If we are happy with the nuts and bolts of your hardware and think that we can tweak your software to our standards, then at that stage we will give you a quote for the work needed, and also for our maintenance contract.
"I don’t really want to pay such high prices for official software, surely you’ve got some copy software we could use?"
Obviously we understand your thinking, especially if you are a small and / or growing business where you need to keep a lid on your costs. However as an official licensed re-seller we must by law supply official products only. Also this gives you…. Warranty periods and the full support of the manufacturers in the unusual event of a problem that we can’t fix.
"We have some specialist software that is unique to our Industry, will you be able to transfer this onto your new system?"
When we meet initially, we always ask you about this. If we have not worked with a programme before, we always discuss the ins and outs directly with the people who created it. We don’t think that we’re clever enough to guess.
"How long will it take you to build and install our new system?"
For five users allow 2 to 3 weeks from the date of your order and add an extra day per user for every person in your business over five users.
"I want to change from Mac to PC and I’m afraid this is going to be a nightmare"
We have done this in the past and really it’s not too worrying. If you are using a Filemaker database and wish to have your data transferred then we need to allow a little more time, but migration to PC is achievable.
